This year we are celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the Glasgow Garden Festival 1988 with a city-wide wildlife garden festival that has delivered events and activities across Glasgow’s green spaces.
Where: Glasgow Sceince Centre, Glasgow
When: 23rd October
RSPB Scotland and Scottish National Heritage would like to invite you to our closing youth conference which will look at the design of Glasgow’s green infrastructure and architecture over the next 30 years.
The conference will be opened by RSPB Scotland’s Director Anne McCall and Scottish National Heritage Chairman Mike Cantlay followed by inspiring talks from young people across Glasgow that have been involved in their community to create green spaces and champion change for nature.
There will then be interactive workshops that will design and create models of the future of Glasgow’s infrastructure with your very own design team.
We also have representatives from architecture practices, Landscape Institute, SNH, Glasgow City Council and conservation charities that will have stalls over lunch that will provide information about careers in conservation and design.
This is a fantastic opportunity for any young people that are looking to go into a career in architecture, conservation, ecology and planning. As well as any young people who have been involved in their local community or school to deliver environmental actions. Spaces are limited we recommend you get in touch asap by using the email link below.
