Are you a young parent? We're looking for young people who have experience of pregnancy and parenthood to be part of a new project.
Young Scot are producing a new digital resource all about what it's like to be a young parent in Scotland today. We'll produce vlogs, blogs, films and posts to go online on Young Scot’s website and social media channels.
We don't just want to know about prams and nappies. We want to hear what it's like being a young parent at school, work or when you're with your friends. We want to help share your experiences with other young people.
You’ll also help to develop a range of discounts and Rewards for young parents available with the Young Scot card.
How you can get involved
Be a Content Maker
Can't get enough of Snapchat? Obsessed with vloggers? Come along to sessions at either Young Scot HQ or in your local area and help make content about your experiences of parenthood. This could be in the form of a blog, video or even a social media post.
We're looking for mums and dads. You don't need any qualifications, just willingness to work with the Young Scot team to share your experiences of being a young parent. We'll be able to provide support for transport and childcare costs.
Join the Young Parent Expert Group
Have more time to spare? The project runs from April 2017 until March 2019 and we're looking for 15 young people to join our Young Parent Expert Group. You'll attend meetings at Young Scot in Edinburgh and make decisions about what topics we cover and help guide the project from start to finish.
