Nature of Scotland Awards 2017

Conservation awards seek nature heroes...

Since the launch of the RSPB’s Nature of Scotland Awards in 2012 almost 50 winners have been celebrated for their excellence, innovation and outstanding achievement in Scottish nature conservation and the search has begun to discover this year’s unsung heroes.

Entry to the awards is free and applications are being sought across nine categories: Community Initiative, Corporate, Food and Farming, Marine Conservation, Nature Tourism, Political Advocate of the Year, RSPB Species Champion and Youth and Education.

Nominate a person, project or business dedicated to supporting our environment or submit your own project and tell us what you’re doing to protect nature! Let's celebrate the achievements of the inspirational people, projects and organisations working hard to protect Scotland’s precious natural heritage.

"I love nature and being in the outdoors, and Scotland’s the perfect place to enjoy both. It’s a country of beautiful wild places and abundant wildlife, but there are growing challenges which put these under real threat.
I have a keen interest in conservation so I’m delighted that the Nature of Scotland Awards will recognise and celebrate nature’s heroes. Their dedication and hard work is crucial in the battle to protect and preserve Scotland’s precious natural heritage for future generations.
Their projects help to make nature more accessible and make a real difference by giving nature a home." - Bill Bailey, Comedian, author and nature enthusiast.
