Get into Board Games in Articles

Put down the Xbox, ditch the Playstation and say goodbye to the Wii - get retro and be a part of the board games revival!  Check out these new board games clubs in Renfrewshire.

So everyone has a favourite board game (ours is a contest between Monopoly and Connect 4 by the way).  But we bet you haven't played them in ages and have forgotten how fun they are.  Sure the Xbox is great, and the Playstation is smashing and all that but one of the hottest revivals has been the classic board game.  They've shaken off their camping trip activity vibe and there are now even cool board games cafes popping up throughout the UK.

Renfrewshire isn't missing out either.  Renfrewshire Libraries have launched 'Get On Board', a free introduction to board games for 13-17 year olds.  Master your dice skills, buy up all the Park Lane properties and test your knowledge and skills.  Check out the details below and go along.  You never know, you may be a total master and not know it.

Did you know board games have pretty much always been popular? No matter what is in fashion, they always make a comeback.  In fact, in between knocking out pyramids, the Ancient Egyptians loved nothing more than a good game of Senet against each other (it was kinda like Ludo but more complicated).
