Making the Most of Alone Time in Mind
Being by yourself sometimes gets a bad rep, but it can actually be really good to spend some time alone. We’ve got some top tips on how to fully enjoy your 'me' time
Go to the cinema
It might seem strange to go to the cinema yourself - it’s usually an activity you might associate with doing with your friends, or your boyfriend or girlfriend – but it’s great for when there’s a film you really want to see that other people might not be interested in. Plus it means rather than picking up your mates or dates reactions, you are totally focused on the film. Remember, nobody else in the cinema cares you are by yourself!
Go for a walk
Going for a walk not only means you get some exercise, helping release some endorphins and boosting your mood, but it will help you clear your head. You can also try out mindfulness while you are outside by focussing on the sights and the sounds all around you – you might just notice something new that you would normally miss. Go explore your local area and see what it has to offer, you might just find a nice new cafe or a cool shop to visit.
Look round a museum
Why not have a look round a local museum, art gallery or historic landmark? There are usually lots of interesting exhibitions on or interactive things you can get involved with. Plus you might get some inspiration for a school project – whether it be history, art, modern studies or geography – it could give you lots of new ideas!
