Xmas Recipe: Sprouts With Chorizo & Chesnuts in Lifestyle

Not a fan of sprouts or bored of the bland taste? Spice them up with this quick & easy recipe!

This recipe serves four, but you can adjust the ingredients to suit however many people you’re cooking for.

To prepare all of your ingredients, cut the chorizo into small slices (peeling the skin off is optional), trim your spring onions and peel the clove of garlic, before chopping it up into fine pieces. Then, trim your brussels sprouts and cut them into halves or quarters.

Heat the olive oil in a frying pan or wok. Add the slices of chorizo, once the chorizo starts to cook add the spring onions and garlic, stir-frying for a couple of minutes.

Next add the Brussels sprouts and stir-fry for a further 5-8 minutes or until cooked - but still crunchy.

Crumble the whole cooked chestnuts over the sprouts mix and toss together to heat through.

Finally, you’re ready to serve. A simple twist on an old classic!
