Make Your Own Festive Bunting In 5 Easy Steps in Lifestyle
Follow our easy 5-step guide for DIY Festive Bunting...
What You Will Need
- Wrapping paper of your choice
- Glue (You can use a stick or PVA)
- Hole punch
- Any type of ribbon or twine
Get your scissors and cardboard and cut a triangular piece out. The size is up to you!
You can also use a pen or pencil to draw a stencil if your scissors are tricky to cooperate with and so that you ensure all of your triangles end up the same size.
Lay out a piece of your chosen wrapping paper and cut around the cardboard triangle you have made, making sure you leave enough space to fold the pieces over the sides of cardboard.
What you’re left with should look something like this…
Take your cut out wrapping paper triangle and secure it around your cardboard triangle, folding the edges over and sticking them down using the glue you have – we used a UHU pritt-stick, but you can also use PVA.
You’ll be left with your first piece of bunting!
Next, take your piece of bunting and your hole punch and make holes into two corners at the base of the triangle. If you don’t have a hole punch, you could also use a pencil to carefully pierce holes into the cardboard.
Then, using your scissors, cut a section of twine or ribbon to however long you’d like and thread the bunting onto it.
Now, repeat steps one to four as many times as you like until you get your desired finished look. We’ve left ours plain, but you can also add glitter and all manner of sequins to your bunting too!
