2) Football

Not only is a game of football a great opportunity to catch up with friends, but the workout you’ll get from running about also brings you loads of physical and mental health benefits. With parks dotted in every town and city across the country there’s really no excuse not to grab a few friends and a football, and get a game going. 

3) Swimming

Swimming is a brilliant way to cool down on those hot summer days (fingers crossed we’ll be seeing some soon!) The great thing about swimming is that you can go for a few laps yourself or you can grab a bunch of your friends and head to the pool, where depending on the rules of your local pool, you might even be able to get some pool games on the go. 4) Rounders

Rounders is a classic summertime game, because it’s simple, fun, and you can play with as small or as large a group as you want. Plus, all you need is a bat, a ball and an open space.

With Wimbledon season upon us, it’s the perfect time to hit the tennis court. Many open-air courts are free to use, and it’s a great place to socialise and make new friends, as you can mix up singles and doubles matches with other people there.
