Young Driver is a road safety training programme designed to improve the skills of young people behind the wheel with the objective of reducing road traffic accident rates, as well as offering a fun experience.
If you are aged 10 or above then you can learn to drive in a brand new, dual control, Skoda Citigo car.
Driving lessons take place at venues in Edinburgh, Falkirk and Glasgow, where government approved driving instructors will teach you how to drive in a safe and controlled environment.
You will learn how to start, stop, steer, reverse and change gear on a specially constructed course which consists of a beginners’ zone, a full road system with traffic signs, junctions, roundabouts and parking zones.
Lessons are available for 30 minutes or 60 minutes driving.
Young Driver is supported by police forces, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, The Institute of Advanced Motoring, RoSPA and motoring journalist Quentin Willson.
