Changing Scotland's Relationship with Alcohol

25 Jun 2008 - 25 Aug 2008
The Scottish Government wants to ask young people in Scotland what they think about the Government's plans to tackle alcohol misuse.

The Scottish Government is really interested in finding out what you think about:

  • raising the age that you can buy alcohol in shop, supermarkets and off-licenses from 18-21
  • banning special offers and promotions (eg buy one get one free, 3 for 2 offers)
  • introducing separate checkouts for buying alcohol
  • what activities should be on offer to give young people something to do other than drinking

So, please take a few minutes to complete this short survey and you could be in with a chance to win a Nintendo Wii!  Your answers will be treated in the strictest confidence and will only be used for the purposes of this consultation.  Young Scot will not disclose or use anyone's name other than to inform the winner of the competition.

If you have a Young Scot card, you can sign up to the Rant 'n' Rave discussion board and tell us more about what you think.  Go to the Rant ‘n’ Rave section now .
