So what does the NEC do?
Concessionary Travel for 16-18 year olds
- 1/3rd off adult single fares on buses all over Scotland
- A free Scottish Youth Railcard, giving you 1/3rd off train fares
- Two free return ferry journeys to the mainland if you live on an island
When you apply for your National Entitlement Card you will automatically recive a Concessionary Travel Card. In the future the buses will have the super duper chipped technology to read your National Entitlement Card but for new your need to go with 2 cards.

PASS (Proof of Age Standards Scheme)
- The National Entitlement Card also has the PASS hologram on it, meaning it is recognised as an official proof of age card across the UK.
