Silvery Light Trust

 Is a new project based in Eyemouth, which aims to support and challenge young people through a range of marine-based experiences in and around the Eyemouth Harbour and the North Sea. 'The Trust has its own vessel, the SS Silvery Light, and experiences may consist of hands on marine based activity in maintenance and restoration of boats, seafaring voyages, life skills training and the opportunity to become involved in planning and running festivals in Eyemouth. Specific target groups are socially excluded young people, women and girls and those who are finding employment opportunities difficult. Although the project is still in its early phase the opportunity to visit abroad and gain placements in other parts of the UK is being explored.
