Shetland's New Member of The Scottish Youth Parliment!

Ryan Smith from Cunningsburgh was the only candidate standing for the role of MSYP to represent Shetland alongside existing member Natasha Ogilvie.

Ryan is a longstanding member of the Youth Voice Executive and it was decided by Shetland Youth Issues and the Young Scot team in Edinburgh that he should step into the role of MSYP. He brings many excellent qualities to this role and will definately do a good job of bringing forward your ideas!

National Entitlement Card

• One - third off adult single fares on buses all over Scotland
• A free Scottish Youth Railcard, cutting up to one third off train fares

Young People's Film and Media Club

Shetland's Young Person's Film and Media Club is now up and running!!

The group have been meeting weekly on a Thursday in Islesburgh, room 10, 7 - 9 pm to work on many exciting projects!  They have also been involved in the buying of £30,000 worth of equipment by Shetland Arts, which will be used by the club!

If you are interested, please come along!
