Participate in the Training for Work Programme
Collect points for completion of a 4 week Training for Work programme at the Motorcycle Youth Project.
Training For Work is available for young people age 15-19 who live in the Edinburgh area, you will be given the opportunity to learn about motorcycles and learn to ride safely. You will be based in the workshop in Newtongrange for 4 weeks – 3 days per week – 10.30 – 3.30 each day – Training days are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. You will be given the opportunity to gain national qualifications, such as Introduction to Care & Use of Handtools, vehicle servicing – motorcycles, numercy and City & Guilds Personal Development and Employability – the last one will help you realise your potential after the Training For Work.
You must live in Edinburgh to qualify funding. Your school, social worker, youth worker or Skills Development Scotland advisor can refer you or if you are currently unemployed then you can refer yourself at the email below.
