Podcast FAQs - Young Scot and Podcasts
So, you've learnt a bit about podcasts, but what does Young Scot have planned for the wonderful world of podcasts? Read on...
How do I find Young Scot podcasts?
You already have! You've already stumbled on the Young Scot Podcast section of the site. Now you just have to decide what you want to listen to?
And how do I do that?
Just click on the link over in Helpful Links (on the right hand side of this page). That will take you to the Podcast homepage, and you can choose what category of podcast you want to listen to.
Okay, I've chosen my category, what now?
Simple. Just choose how you want to listen to the podcast. You can play it, download it or subscribe to it - click on the Podcast FAQs link in the Helpful Links box on the right hand side of this page for more information. Once you have chosen, just click on the button for that option. If you have chosen Play, the podcast will start to play in Windows Media Player. If you want to Download the podcast, right click on the Download button, choose Save Target As and then just decide where you want to save it to on your computer. To Subscribe, just click on the button and follow the on-screen instructions.
Each podcast page will have some introduction text telling you what the podcast is about, and underneath that the option will be programme details and episode details. The buttons will help you gain access to the podcast, but if you are having any problems, just email us at podcasts@youngscot.org and we'll try to solve the problem!
These podcasts are all made by young people - can I get involved in that?
Of course you can! Just get in touch with your local Dialogue Youth unit and let them know you want to get involved. You can find the contact details for your Dialogue Youth unit by going to their homepage. Use the dropdown menu in the top right hand side of this page marked 'What's Happening In...' and choose where you live to go to the correct homepage.
I really liked that podcast - how do I let people know I want more?
You can see which podcasts have been most popular by looking at the star rating that they have. The higher the star count out of five, the more it has been listened to.
If you really enjoyed a podcast (or didn't enjoy or agree with one at all!) and want to tell us or if you want to suggest a topic that a podcast could cover, then just email us at podcasts@youngscot.org and let us know. And remember, you can always sign up for the Rant'n'Rave messageboards to discuss them further if you want. Just register your card using the Register Now link in the grey bar at the top of this page (or login if you have already registered) and then follow the links from the Young Scot homepage to the Rant'n'Rave boards. Share your views with others!
