The Diana Award

Do you know someone who volunteers their time to help others? Do you know group of young people who have worked to raise money for a good cause? If you do, why don’t you nominate them for a Diana Award?

For the past 12 years the Diana Awards has been given to over 36,000 young people aged 9 to 18 years old to recognize their contribution to society.
Winners of the award have the chance to join the Diana Network, giving them access to opportunity to gain life skills and work placements in the UK and abroad.

Categories

There are five categories of awards and you can nominate individuals or groups:

  • Diana Anti-bullying Champion- for young people who tackle bullying in schools and communities (individuals or groups)
  • Diana Active Campaigner- for young people who run campaigns in their schools and communities (individuals or groups)
  • Diana Champion Fundraiser- for young people who raise money for good causes (individuals or groups)
  • Diana Champion Volunteer- for young people who give their time to improve the lives of others (individuals or groups)
  • Diana Courageous Citizen- for a young person whose courageous approach to life has made a direct impact on the lives of others. (It could be someone who has cared for family member or friends, overcome personal illness or disability and at the same time has helped others or someone who has turned their life around (individual not groups)

You can nominate online on the Diana Award Website or you can download a form and post it in. The next deadline for nominations is the 11th November. So get nominating!
