REVIEW: Trouble Twisters by Garth Nix and Sean Williams

Our Review:

After their house explodes, twins Jaidith and Jackaran Sheild are sent to stay with their enigmatic Grandma X, who they have never met, in the quiet costal town of Portland.

But Portland is not as it seems, and as the twins try to uncover the strange going ons they are sucked into a terrifying adventure, battling against mysterious forces and trying to save Portland from the dark influences of ‘The Evil’.

But can they wake their Grandma from her deep sleep, and stop ‘The Evil’ before it takes over?

The only thing that put me off this book was the strapline on the cover and the blurb. They made me think that this was going to be a really cheesy story about some kids with magical powers, but infact I really liked this book.

It had good strong characters, and an exiting and thrilling plot, which was filled with twists and turns, unravelling mysteries and secrets all the way.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone aged about 10-14 who like stories about magic and secrets.
