REVIEW: Stakeland

Skateland is a funky, upbeat film. It had a good balance of emotions, so there wasn’t too many sad or angry moments. There was good music right the way through the film, and I really liked how it was set out for young people to relate to.

It’s set in Texas, and its mid 1980’s. 19 year old Richie has it all– a great job as the manager of a roller skate rink, a bunch of party-keen friends and of course his beautiful girlfriend, Michelle. The only, small bad point was that the film carried on a bit at times.

Overall I would give this film four stars out of five and recommend it to my friends.
