REVIEW: Abandon by Meg Cabot

Our Review:

'Abandon' by Meg Cabot is a very interesting novel but at the same time quite complicated.

The book starts with a girl who dies then comes back to life where she is shadowed by a man of the Underworld. He randomly appears when she is in trouble and their relationship becomes very complex. The first half of the book becomes very confusing because the author constantly switches from past to present, then introduces incidents but doesn’t explain them until much later in the book.

In the second half of the book, all of the incidents are explained and stories begin to unfold. By the end of the book, when we finally understand what is happening, the story abruptly ends on a cliff-hanger.

Luckily there is a sequel so all will soon be revealed. The ending is very exciting and completely unexpected. I would recommend this book to teenage girls because it becomes very interesting and at some points you can’t put the book down!
