The Rural Music project involves weekly workshops in rural areas of Stirlingshire for young people aged 11-17. Young people wishing to attend should have a keen interest in learning to play music with each other and trying their hand at writing their own songs. They will not need to have had any prior experience of playing an instrument to take part in the project as full support in learning will be given by the professional musicians and youth services staff.
Professional musicians with skills in Guitar, Bass, Keyboard, Drums, Song writing, recording and Singing are employed to facilitate the sessions. Where possible these music sessions to take place out with the youth club nights already running in these areas thus maximising the youth provision in the rural areas.
