Welcome to South Ayrshire

Hi, 

Joining the Ark on Saturday 5th July will be the Mobile Youth Centre from North Ayrshire, along with  South Ayrshire Dialogue Youth we have the Young Scot Scottish National Conversation it's a survey which we hope young people will participate in.  It's all about how you would like Scotland to look like in 20 yrs?  The MYC will be parked outside and it has internet access to the survey and a video diary room. Oh and live bands are appearing are Life among people, Up for The Let Down and Annie Stevenson.

More Competition prizes - register your card above and try your luck by entering the South Ayrshire Young Scot competitions or National competitions.

If you're with a group who are trying to stop smoking and looking for ideas then go to the No Smoking Day website - helping smokers who want to quit section.

Free leaflets, posters etc on various health topics are available to update notice boards or provide info at the local Youth Centre, order online at the Health Info Shop website or call in at the Health Shop.

South Ayrshire Youth Strategy Launch

South Ayrshire Council's Youth Strategy will be launched on Monday 23rd of June in Ayr Town Hall. The Council has produced this Strategy because it wants to support young people to 'be the best they can be'

Key points are : to give young people a voice - enable them to influence the delivery of services that affect them - benefit from youth work services that make a real difference to their lives - supported by youth workers who can help them achieve positive outcomes in their own lives and those of their communities.

National Entitlement Card - NEC

National Entitlement Card (NEC)

If you are 16,17 or 18 yrs or a full time volunteer aged between 19 and 25 yrs old working 35 + hours per week, then you must apply for your FREE National Entitlement Card.

This gives you discounted travel on railways and buses throughout Scotland. You can also use it as a Proof of Age card and to get your Young Scot discounts.

Call your local Dialogue Youth office on 01292 473694 to get your application form.
