Perth & Kinross Council offer free passes for Road, Rail and Ferry if you suffer from a disability and/or you require a companion to assist you whilst travelling. The pass allows you to travel free or at a discounted price throughout Scotland.
All public transport is accessible for those with mobility issues as buses have low level access which is suitable for wheelchair users and trains and ferries can be made accessible with ramps. All staff are helpful and understanding of your needs. Also, if you're one of those unlucky people who need to travel to Ninewells hospital in Dundee for appointments, the Hospital Link bus service runs directly from PRI to Ninewells and is fully accessible for people with disabilities.
The Blue Badge Scheme offers free parking to those with a physical disability. This gains you access to disabled parking spaces and the ability to park on double yellow lines - all without any cost.
To find out if you are eligible for any of these passes or if you would like an application form please contact Perth & Kinross Council.
