What is it?
The National Entitlement Card for young people is a free electronic smart card for all young people aged 11 to 26. The card has been created by the Scottish Government, Young Scot, your local council and lots of other organisations working together so that it’s easier for you to use their services across Scotland.

This card also gives young people aged 16 to 18 discounted bus travel (anywhere in Scotland), and a young person’s rail card, free of charge.
What your card does for you
- school and public libraries – Use your Young Scot card to book out books, DVDs, CDs and for online reference
- school meals – The card also allows you to access your schools meals instead of using cash
- the card is accepted as proof of age that can be used for ID under the PASS scheme and can be used on school buses

Applying for your card
If would like a Young Scot Card or need to replace a lost or damaged card just contact the My Fife Card Team and they can arrange for an application form or new card to be sent out to you. You can contact them by:

Once you have completed the application form the My Fife Card Team will direct you to which validation point to take the form to.
