No Card? In Secondary Education?
If you attend one of the secondary schools in East Dunbartonshire and don't have your Young Scot card yet, download the application form, complete it and return it to us with a passport style photo of yourself.
Just click on the ED Young Scot Logo on the left to take you to the page with the form.
Careers Scotland Apprenticeships Advice
Apprenticeships can be difficult to obtain so you need to maximise your chances by being proactive and they are not just in traditional building trades. You can also carry out an apprenticeship within administration, childcare, retail, distribution etc.

Young Scot Discounts
Here's your chance to find out all the money saving discounts you can get with your East Dunbartonshire Young Scot card/National Entitlement Card. All you have to do is show your card and save some cash.

If you want help or information on anything from arts, health, housing, benefits, money (and everything else in between!) then why not call Young Scot InfoLine.
It's confidential, and free from landlines and most mobile networks. They can give you useful information on these topics to set you on your way.

National Entitlement Card
As you may already be aware, we have been in Secondary schools in East Dunbartonshire taking pics of all young people wanting the new NEC card. Your new NEC card should have been delivered to your door by now and hopefully you will be able to enjoy all the great benefits the card can provide. If you are still waiting on your card, or if you haven't applied for one yet, please contact us on the details below.
If you haven't completed a consent form we can not issue a card. If the information on the consent form is different from the information the school has for you then it may delay your card being issued.
The card will enable young people to get cheaper transport on buses,trains and ferries. If you are 16, 17 or 18 then you are entitled to:
One-third off adult single fares on buses all over Scotland
A free Scottish Youth Railcard, cutting up to one-third off train fares
Two free return ferry journeys to the mainland if you live on an island
