Do you see yourself as an active and responsible citizen? Have you ever thought about volunteering for the Citizens Advice Bureau? It could be a really good move for you in more ways than one. Voluntary work for the CAB boosts your career prospects and helps you develop skills and experience which are great for your CV.
Don't take our word for it - here's what previous student volunteers tell us: 'I joined because one of my friends told me it really benefited her. I think the CAB has given me a lot more than I've given them. It's given me a chance to work with clients before I become a solicitor.' Stephanie Lee Samphier (Law student, Aberdeen University)
'I've learned a lot. It builds up your confidence and helps improve your teamwork and people skills. Being able to help people solve their problems is so worthwhile!' Lynn Crawford (Psychology student, Glasgow Caledonian University)
Find out more about the CAB by following the link above
