Free Food!!

Yes, there is such a thing as a free lunch!

If you're at school you could be missing out on free food!

Youth Travel Card

Aberdeen City Council operates a 'Youth Travel Card' Scheme which offers discounted bus travel for individuals who are:

* Aged 16-18 years of age (inclusive), and are

* An Aberdeen City Resident, and are

* In full time attendance at an Aberdeen City Secondary School

The scheme offers cardholders discounted day tickets on bus services within Aberdeen City. Normally from the age of 16 years of age a person would be required to pay the adult fare - this scheme offers individuals who remain at school the opportunity to buy day tickets at the child fare.

Your Young Scot/ACCORD/NEC card has heaps of cool stuff on it...

Check out the Young Scot discounts section to see how you could save some cash.

If you want to find out more about the National Entitlement Card (NEC) then go to www.youngscot.org/smartcards. It's worth finding out more and getting your hands on a NEC card if you are 16, 17 or 18 (or a full-time volunteer aged 19-25) because then you are entitled to:

* One-third off adult single fares on buses all over Scotland
* A free Young Person's Railcard, cutting up to one-third off train fares
* Two free return ferry journeys to the mainland if you live on an island.
