Save with your Young Scot NEC Card.

The Young Scot National Entitlement Card for young people is a free electronic smart card for everyone aged 11 to 26. The card has been created so that it's easier to use services across Scotland.

Cheaper travel

If you are 16, 17 or 18 you can get cheaper transport on buses, trains and ferries with your Young Scot NEC Card. You will get:

At the moment not all of the transport companies have the special equipment needed to read the Young Scot NEC cards, so in the meantime you'll get additional cards to access your travel discounts.

To find out more about the travel scheme or how to get your hands on the Young Scot NEC phone Young Scot InfoLine on 0808 801 0338 or visit the Get Your Card section of this website.

Not 16 yet?

If you are under 16 then you can still get your hands on a Young Scot NEC card. You can use your card to prove your age on the bus and make sure you continue to pay the child fare.

You should get your card through your school, but if you want to know more or you don't remember this being done in your school call Young Scot InfoLine on 0808 801 0338, or visit Get your Card.
