Volunteer In Your School...

The fundamental aim of Active Schools is to give school-aged children the tools, motivation and opportunities to be more active throughout their school years and into adulthood. These opportunities are available before, during and after school, as well as in the wider community

It is important that people involved in sport at all levels recognise volunteers' efforts and support and reward those who volunteer in sport. The Active Schools Network encourages people to volunteer to help organise and deliver a wide range of sporting activities and events. If you are interested in volunteering we have a wide range of opportunities for you, across North Ayrshire. Full support will be given and training opportunities and volunteer expenses may be available.

Potential types of volunteer roles:

Coaching /Assisting coaches in schools
Helping with extra-curricular sports clubs
Roles for Senior pupils (Secondary schools)
Refereeing Matches
Assisting with transport
Helping with admin etc
Supervising children at sporting games, festivals etc
Helping with Saturday Sports Club / Cluster Clubs

These are just some of the ways that volunteers can get involved with Active Schools.
