Ask Kenny?

So many young people use the internet & social networking sites and we want you to contact us with any questions, worries or enquiries that you have, no matter how small the enquiry we are here to help

Ask Kenny ?

Welcome to the Ask Kenny Section.. By the Central Scotland Police 'e-crime!

My name is Kenny...I am a police officer and I work within Central Scotland Police's "e-Crime Unit".

On a daily basis my colleagues and I investigate crimes which involve the use of computers and other electronic storage devices.During the last few years there has been a huge increase in the amount of computers young people own and the internet has created an incredible phenomenon.

The internet has changed the way people communicate and every day there is some new development. Unfortunately some people use the internet and computers for crime - and thats when we become involved !!

Over the years there have also been a lot of myths which have evolved and that's were I come in……….Over the next couple of months my colleagues and I will answer your questions about crimes and areas where you may be unclear……. so please ask the questions....Hopefully we will be able to answer these questions, although if it means explaining some of our investigation techniques this might not be possible - but we will try to answer any questions you have the best we can!

So if you have any questions about the bullying or grooming on the internet, BEBO, Facebook or MySpace or just general internet crime then you can get in touch with us at ecrime@centralscotland.pnn.police.uk

If you wish to find out more information on what is coming on this section contact Young Scot using the "Helpful Links" section (above on the right)

Check out some of the FAQ in the more section at the top on the right which will be coming soon......
