The Argyll and Bute Community Planning Partnership has organized an event 'Forward Together' on Saturday 22nd May in Hermitage Academy from 10am till 2.30pm.  Its your chance to have your say on Helensburgh Town Centre/ Lomond Village Cantres Development, Transport, Health and Wellbeing and Community Safety.  We would really like some young people to attend and give their views, if you would like to, please get in touch with Roanna on 01546 600035, who will be happy to support you to attend.

Some of the activities happening in the area include:

'Acting Up' Drama and Media Group Has now re-opened. The group meets every Thursday from 6.30 -9.00pm in Hermitage Academy. If you are aged 12-25 years of age come along and meet new friends, have fun and learn new skills. For more information call 01436 658740 or e-mail Jenny Wainwright on wanabefreak@hotmail.com

Y.I.S. Youth Information Service Now takes place in Hermitage Academy on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Lunchtime. The service provides information on many topics which are of concern to young people. The service also helps with the processing of Young Scot Cards.

Y.O.U.T.H (Youth Organisation Understanding Teen Health) This service provides help and information on all aspects of teenage health. Anyone 13 - 19 years of age is welcome to attend. The group meet every Wednesday in the West Kirk Cottage in Colquhoun Street, Helensburgh between 4.00 and 6.00pm. There are also monthly Outreach Clinics in Arrochar, Rosneath and Garelochhead. Youth Club Opening Times Rosneath Junior 6.30pm - 8.00pm Rosneath Senior 8.00pm - 9.30pm Both Clubs take place in Rosneath Primary School Garelochhead Junior 6.30pm - 8.00pm in the Gibson Hall

Helensburgh and Lomond Youth Bank Why not make a withdrawal today? There is still a substantial amount of funding available and all constituted youth groups are encouraged to apply. The main criteria for a grant is that the money should benefit young people and applications should be 'youth led'. If your youth group has a bank account and constitution and you need funding for your project call:Bill Campbell on 01436 658740 for an application form.

Helensburgh and Lomond Youth Forum The Forum was set up to represent the views and aspirations of the young people who live in the area. The Forum links to the Argyll and Bute Forum, has charitable status and is recognised by Argyll and Bute Council as a vehicle for consultation. The Forum offers its members training and guidance to help them fulfil their duties. If you would like to be involved in the Forum's activities and are aged 12-25 years contact: Bill Campbell on 01436 658740.
