Kirsty Almeida - Spider

My initial impression of this track was that Almeida has a rather irritating voice. Having listened to it a few times now, that opinion hasn't changed. No matter how much she dresses it up as bluesy and soulful; it's anything but which leaves her a lacklustre comparison to other more distinctive voices such as Martha Reeves, Marlena Shaw or even Amy Winehouse. The backing singers are unnecessary and just sound a bit cheesy. The remixes are slightly better especially on the Tim Bran mix; however there is still the same issue with this song as the original-Almeida's voice! Really wasn't my cup of tea but your mum will probably like it.
