Breed77- Zombie

When this single came through the post I took one look at it an thought to myself "Oh No! Why have I been sent this", as I do not normally associate myself with the metal genre of music. Also through the song and band's names I instantly stereotyped this single into a "goth's song." Delving into my first listen I was expecting the worst and on the first listen I believed I had been given the worst. With the heavy metal guitars and the singers voice occasionally turning into what sounded like a monster speaking, I believed this was just plain rubbish and not for me. However later on, strangely I found my self singing the words to the chorus. I then went back and gave this song another chance and it wasn't surprised. I still wasn't a fan of the heavy drums and guitars however I realised the main singer (Paul Isola) has an interesting rough and ready voice which is actually quite interesting. However I can't quite jump of the fence and realise whether or not I enjoy it. Give this song a chance if you are a fan of metal or heavy rock.
