. Between them, they have amassed some 347,000 subscribers, and many, many more video views. But apart from the sheer volume of their combined audience, why should you care?
Well, these four young youtubers have been, for the past 8 weeks, involved in an innovative project - ChartJackers. With no money, and no musical input from the four project leaders, they have composed, written, performed, and produced a song and music video in conjunction with BBC Switch, and through youtube user submissions, to raise money for Children in Need.
The aim? To get an internet-driven song to number one. Difficult when the genre chosen is the cheesiest pop imaginable - not the most radio-friendly when most current songs tend to be on the indie-r or rock-ier side of music.
So far, they have only managed to get BBC Switch themselves to give the single any airplay, but are hoping to get the single better known by fan promotion, and through tweeting to people such as Scott Mills and Russell Brand.
There is not, however, much time left, as the single is due to be released on iTunes next Monday (9th November) and is set to be up against the comeback artists Spandau Ballet, as well as current chart toppers Cheryl Cole, Alexandra Burke and JLS.
If you are intrigued by the idea of helping to propel a charity single that also shows the power of the internet to number one, and want to see what you can do to help, or want to find out some more information, then the official page is http://www.bbc.co.uk/chartjackers. If you just fancy a few minutes of cheesy pop set to an amusing video, then that can be found at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eOPL-JGxc5o.
