Global Changemakers 4th Annual Youth Summit

November 22 to 28 is the British Council’s 4th Annual Global Youth Summit of the Global Changemakers.

The objective of the summit will be to initiate 60 new Global Changemakers into the community, build their knowledge of key global issues, build their skills in project management, fundraising, media, research and monitoring and evaluation, and launch community action projects.

As the event is held in the UK each year, it is also a significant opportunity to expose youth from around the world to UK organizations and the UK's business, government, thought and civil society leaders in addition to fostering intercultural dialogue.

Young people who have demonstrated a significant track record of achievement in their local communities are invited to apply to the position of a Global Changemaker The application process will be open for three weeks, from 1-21 August.

The event itself will take place in England from 22-28 November. Six participants will go on to the WEF Annual Meeting in Davos in January 2010. To find out more details visit http://www.global-changemakers.net
