Dundee Children and Young Persons Protection Committee

DCYPPC brings together reps from many different organisations to help protect children and young people in Dundee.

Some of the things they discuss are:

  • making sure that all the right services and agencies are working together to protect children and young people in Dundee
  • how to get information out to children, young people and adults, so that they are aware of child protection issues and know what to do if they are concerned about someone
  • the quality of services and how to improve them

The committee is made up of representatives from many organisations which are:

  • Leisure & Communities
  • Housing
  • Children's Reporter
  • Voluntary Sector agencies
  • Procurator Fiscal
  • Education
  • Health Services
  • Social Work
  • Police

The DCYPPC do many things to promote child protection in the city. To help get information out to young people they have funded the "Protecting Us" section of this website. To view this section click the topic link above.
