Proof Of Age Card & Age Restricted Goods

PASS Hologram
National Entitlement Card image

The new PASS system means that you should never have a problem proving your age again....

Have you ever been asked to prove your date of birth but not been able to? Or maybe you’ve shown a card but it’s not been accepted by the person who asked for it?

If so, then the new PASS Proof of Age Standards Scheme is the answer. The aim of PASS is to provide an easily recognisable tamper-proof logo which is an accepted voluntary proof of identity. PASS is supported by all of the major proof of age card schemes, and that includes Young Scot!

The new PASS hologrammed Young Scot National Entitlement Card (NEC) will:

  • Let you access goods and services that you are entitled to use, easily and with no fuss (e.g games, DVDs)
  • Allow sellers of age restricted goods and services (e.g. cigarettes, alcohol etc) to accept the proof of age card with confidence
  • Help retailers to remain within the law

So, when you have a Young Scot National Entitlement Card you should have no problem buying anything that needs you to provide your date of birth. For more information about how you can get a Young Scot National Entitlement Card (NEC) phone Young Scot InfoLine on 0808 801 0338 (Mon to Fri 10am - 6pm). Calls are free from your homephone and from mobiles.
